EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE | FALL 2022

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE | FALL 2022

It wasn’t that long ago I stood in an empty field envisioning Fourth & Hope’s future. If we could bring homeless services together in one place, we could change so many lives. Three years later, I stand in the same field now surrounded by our 100-bed emergency shelter and a permanent supportive housing community that will open its doors next week to at least 75 unhoused neighbors. And just beyond that, I see the groundbreaking site for Walter’s House.

As we continue to grow and expand our services, I don’t want to lose sight of the individual we serve. It’s not just about the many it’s about the one. The one who slept on the streets and now has a bed. The one who stayed in our shelter and now has a home. The one who lost themselves in addiction and now found and living a new life in sobriety.

This empty field is filling in with hope for the one who needs it the most, but we can’t do this without YOU. Please consider blessing us with a gift and attend our upcoming Empty Bowls fundraiser on October 19. Just $20 provides food and shelter for one individual.

On behalf of our board of trustees, staff, and clients, we thank YOU for your partnership and support. Together we will continue to change lives one person at a time.

A heartfelt thank you!

Doug Zeck
Executive Director
