FOOD AND NUTRITION

Chef Julio joins our team as our new Food and Nutrition Program Manager! Born in Tijuana, Mexico, raised in the Los Angeles area and moved to Lodi where he launched his culinary career of 35 years. His passion for food moved him throughout the country opening four restaurants, three hotels, and one major sports arena. When asked why he joined the Fourth & Hope team Chef Julio said, “Over time I searched for something that would allow me to make more of an impact. I specifically searched for a position in my home state of California that is struggling with homelessness. I wanted to find a job that would be less self-serving while redirecting my focus on people who are unhoused. Joining Fourth & Hope is a great opportunity to use my background and make a real difference. My ultimate goal is to cook well-balanced and nutritious meals that provide mental and emotional wellness for our clients”.
