EMPTY BOWLS 2025

Fight Hunger Feed Hope

The 17th Annual Empty Bowls event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, at Life Pointe Church in Woodland.

Every bowl of soup tells a story—and yours could help write the next chapter of hope for someone in need. Empty Bowls is more than a meal. It’s a heartfelt community tradition and a global movement to fight hunger and homelessness—right here in Yolo County.

This year’s Empty Bowls offers a meaningful yet straightforward soup lunch or dinner, a lively raffle, and the opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors who care deeply about our community.

Your participation is powerful. All proceeds directly support Fourth & Hope’s emergency shelter program, which provided shelter for 242 individuals and served over 92,000 meals last year. With your help, we move people from the streets to stability—offering dignity, care, and a fresh start.

Your partnership will help ensure the success of our event and allow Fourth & Hope to further its Mission to Change Lives. Together, we will bring help today for hope tomorrow.

READY TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL IMPACT?

EMPTY BOWLS: This event was started in 1990 by a group of high school students in Michigan searching for a way to raise funds for a food drive. What evolved was a class project to make ceramic bowls for a fundraising meal. Empty Bowls is made possible by sponsors, the local restaurants that donate the soup, bread, and cookies, and, of course, you. Thank you for your support!
