Every year we look forward to connecting with you at our biggest community event, Empty Bowls.

Given the uncertainty and concern about COVID-19, and the continually changing situation, the 2021 14th Annual Empty Bowls is postponed for another year. We normally hold Empty Bowls, on the third Thursday in October.

Empty Bowls is made possible through the support and donations of the community. Local restaurants donate soup and local artists and schools provide the bowls. To see all of the Empty Bowls past supporters click here.  The pandemic has been hard for everyone – especially local restaurants and small business owners. Please consider supporting these restaurants and businesses by grabbing a meal or artwork from these generous supporters.

Please stay in touch with us now and in 2022 by signing up for our email newsletter.

This national event was started in 1990 by a group of high school students in Michigan searching for a way to raise funds for a food drive. What evolved was a class project to make ceramic bowls for a fundraising meal. Empty Bowls is made possible by sponsors, the local restaurants that donate the soup, bread, and cookies, and, of course, you. Thank you for your support and for helping us with our mission to change lives.
